No "Run as administrator" option
On a new Toshiba laptop with Win 7/64, my client has no "Run as..." option when right-clicking shortcuts. She can't even run the command prompt as an administrator. She has an administrator account, and I've tried turning UAC off, but it didn't
help (even after a reboot). Most of the other right-click options are available, but there is no "Run as...", regardless of which shortcut she chooses.
Any idea what could be causing this? I'm having some trouble installing/configuring some applications without this option. I haven't had a chance to boot to safe mode to see if this occurs, but I also haven't seen any other information on this. (Please note
that this is not the same as "Run as..." not working. I've seen a lot of issues with that. In this case, "Run as..." is not even an option.)
Thanks!
Steve

Hi,
First of all, please try to create a new user to test this issue.
Meanwhile, I would like to confirm if you are using an OEM version of Windows 7; if so, you could contact Toshiba for more information:
